OPE™ IPL (Optimal Power Energy™ Intense Pulsed Light) is Espansione Group's second core technology — a patented, software-controlled polychromatic light system designed for the safe and effective treatment of ocular surface conditions.

How It Works

OPE™ IPL delivers calibrated thermal impulses via gentle, non-invasive pulses applied to the periorbital and cheekbone areas (lower eyelid region). These pulses:

• Stimulate the Meibomian glands to resume normal secretory activity
• Promote contraction of the glands, increasing lipid flow
• Reduce tear evaporation by restoring the lipid layer of the tear film
• Boost local circulation and support anti-inflammatory activity

Combination Therapy

OPE™ IPL is most effective when used in conjunction with LM™ LLLT. Clinical evidence shows that combined LM™ LLLT and OPE™ IPL therapy is a key factor in effectively managing the most severe cases of recalcitrant MGD-induced Dry Eye Disease and other ocular surface diseases.
